“Beneath the surface find warmth…” Yes! It’s so life-limiting to fear and dismiss the parts of us that are necessarily dying toward renewal. “Self-Portrait as Compost” is such a deliciously vitalizing subversion: here is not the image of a self-loathing wraith that the title might lead us to expect, rather it is one of a fearless realist full of all the juicy, messy, fertile, resilient stuff that constitutes a life well-lived.
Bravo!

We’re celebrating Wednesday. And yesterday and tomorrow, and sunlight and clouds and the smell of the Indian Ocean and flaky croissants, and knowing too much and knowing too little and, of course, friends, wherever they may be.

Sounds like a a wonderful party, I’ll bring some of my old vinyl, crank up the record player and dust off the the stylus, I’ve lost my cleaning cloth, have you got one there. I suppose the old beach towel will do.

Seems you are seeing your Self manifesting through other things quite a bit these days Bob. I get that. I talk to inanimate & animate things all the time, they’ll answer me one day.
