Another I admire. A question: You post much of your work here. Do the lit journals count your blog posts as “previously published,” or do they accept this work as if it had never appeared? Thanks.

Thank you. It varies by journal, but I’d guess that more lean towards considering personal blog posts as publication. Personally, I believe there has to be an editorial element in publication, so I don’t consider my posts to be published pieces. Still, I post only a small portion of unpublished writing here, as it’s easier to submit pieces that haven’t appeared anywhere.
