Interval’s Night is the 10th release in the Platypus Press 2412 chapbook series. I’m thrilled to have work included in this series. Please take time to peruse the other recently released works.
On my first read of your announcement I thought you had written that this was Platypus Press’s tenth relapse. I think in some ways the publication of poetry is a kind of relapse, after all…but into…what??? sanity? art? a brief escape from the hive mind?
For me, it is a relapse Into good fortune! I have already downloaded the file and can’t wait to read it.
Ha! And they have 14 additional relapses planned for the month – one each for the first 24 days of the month. I find “relapse” to be a fine descriptor of poetry publication!
Congratulations. They do a wonderful job of presentation. Went I went to the page I had that sinking but happy feeling I get with a good box of chocolates,” Oh no! Ah ha! I have to have them all”/.
Congratulations, Robert! I read Interval’s Night and felt like you brought a feeling that I’d somehow lost, out in your words. Of love, loss and how our memories run a thread through them. Thank you for sharing!
Congratulations!

I keep sending them out. Most of them come back, but they eventually find homes.

Nice blend of sparse intrigue with clearly-conveyed love. These poems add to one another when read together.

Thanks, Jazz. These are part of a larger sequence that couldn’t find a home. I’m grateful to Platypus Press for publishing them.

Thanks, Angela. Yes, I really like their presentation/formatting. And you’re so right – like a good box of chocolates, with more on the way.

Just downloaded. Gorgeous: “Gathering your absence, I coil it around my body.” All of these chapbooks are lovely. Love Angela’s chocolate analogy.
