Our nearby recreation center has a pool table that I use on a semi-regular basis, and I can’t help but think of “We Real Cool” whenever I play pool (well, except that I’m not real cool!). I had no idea it had been 100 years since her birth, though. Thanks for sharing, Bob!

Thank you Robert. They did a wonderful job with the video. It strikes me that the poem is still fresh partly because new versions of the seven are still out there every day.

Ahhhh… Gwendolyn Brooks. She deserved more than one Pulitzer Prize.
