A handful of my poems have been published since January, andI’ve been remiss and have not kept up with my end of the bargain. I hope to make up for this, at least in part, by providing links to these publications.
My poems “When Madeline Said No” and “Poetry in the Dark” are live at Within and Without Magazine. I am grateful to editors Gracie DeSantis and Heather Curran for taking these poems, and to poets Lynne Burnett and Ken Gierke for providing the titles during a mini-fundraiser for Brick Street Poetry a couple of years ago.

“One syllable reclaiming a life” is a gut-punch of painful hope.

That is such a hardcore, Okaji-sensei kind of thing. You are publishing while an extremely serious illnesses is trying to murder you… talk about the whole “Ganbatte” spirit… you have kintama each the size of Mt. Fuji itself!

To be truthful, I need to acknowledge those journals that published my work during the four month low period during which I neither wrote nor submitted poems for publication. I feel guilty for not having done so, but hope to make up for it during the next few weeks. Now I feel up to it.
