A handful of my poems have been published since January, and in the grip of my illness I did not properly acknowledge the publications. I hope to make up for this, at least in part, by providing links to these journals.
My poems “IWhile You Slept,” and “Surrounded by Myself I Remain” were published at Resurrection Magazine this past Spring. I am grateful to editors Ingrid M. Calderon-Collins and John Collins for taking these pieces.
Congratulations, Robert!

I love them both & for different reasons, different moods & clearly different circumstances…such is life, minute by minute. Sometimes I feel I’ve lived 20 lives… 👏Congrats

Well done, Bob. Much to digest in these two.
I console myself with the fact that bitter hours and cold coffee led me to a point where love prospers.

A fascinating combination read … each demanding re-read!
I feel a strong connection to “I will never be young again. Gravity tugs heavier. Drugs misbehave. Joints and muscles ache in perpetuity” and yet also to the hope for more, more even as my capacity lessens, lessens.
So happy you are now with current companions – all the better perhaps for prior experience of lesser? Much to be said for being mature when selecting one’s rest-of-life partner!

Fond of both of the poems, but like some above “Surrounded by Myself I Remain” resonates particularly as it speaks about getting older, which I’ve been lucky to be doing for a long time.
