    • Thanks, Daniel. I’ve read your first two posts. In speech, especially among family, I often revert to the singular when the plural would be more “correct,” at least in English. It’s funny how some things just latch onto us through osmosis.

      • Japanese culture is so incredible always feel compelled to share it. Speaking of which, the new Shogun mini-series just wrapped up, and it was ****-ing incredible (directed by Hiroyuki Sanada, who does a GREAT job of playing the aspiring Shogun Torinaga). Tadanobu Asano is in it too, and he is sooo great as the double agent working for and against Torinaga. So when you get a show with both Sanada and Asano in it you KNOW it is going to be totally epic…

  1. Ahh, that was incredible. Congratulations! This week I sent a friend in another country a photo of my crabapple tree in full bloom and she asked me to describe the scent of apple blossoms, which she’d never experienced. I can only do it through the way they make one feel, and you’ve just given me the perfect starting point.
