I’m pleased to announce that my poem “Waiting for the Call” is live at River and South Review. Many thanks to managing editor Alexandra Thomas and the River and South Review team for taking this piece, another in my series of hendecasyllabic poems.

Thanks, Lynne. And no, I’ve been rejected from three trials thus far.

Oh my! A clinical trial gave my father seven pretty good years. Hope is a double edged sword. May the new year bring some.

Thank you, Angela. As it turned out, I was disqualified for this trial due to a new brain lesion. Rather ironic, don’t you think, to be disqualified from a cancer trial due to, uh, cancer?

My brother spent his entire career in that business. I don’t have a good view of it. So sorry.

It was depressing, as they disqualified me just a few days before I was scheduled to begin. Oh, well.

Ask if you can try it anyway? Can your doc push it and get the treatment?

Thinking of you, hoping to see new posts, new poems here, as I catch up with the beginning of year. Sorry to hear of the disappointments, happy to read you though. Weird huh?

Thanks, Frank. It’s been a strange two years. But I’m here, still active, or as active as I can be. Life is good!
