Don’t you just hate auto-correct sometimes? That’s probably how it occurred. This editor sees it all the time. Don’t be upset with yourself. Machines/computers don’t have emotions. People do. Technology is great … so time saving, but never the twain shall meet. Best wishes in your writing!

Congratulations, and well done, Bob.
This makes me think of names in the news – victims who, rightly so, are held up as examples of injustice, but in the process lose their individual identity to a cause.

I think it would be safe to say that Scarecrow is interested in the politics of identity, of how labeling oneself does not necessarily make the labeled-self become a different entity.

I am such a sci-fi nerd. When I first read your announcement, all I could think was ” Slag… that is the pejorative term for the aliens in the 80s movie Alien Nation”.

I self-identify as an 80s nerd, which is a very different kind of nerd from the modern nerd/geek. We wee physically threatened and socially ostracized for liking what people now celebrate and consume in order to be hip!
1982: ” l love Bladerunner” = punch!!
2017: “I love Star Wars” = blog, Youtube videos, money, social status.
You can;t say there has been at least some social progress! 🙂

i’m a big fan of these scarecrow poems Robert. Tackling the lonely turf-life of these protectors, these noble nobodies, warder of crows & magpies, is well…noble.
