Thanks, Jazz. It’s interesting that inflection or emphasis can greatly affect how a poem is received. Many years ago a friend and I both read the identical poem at a memorial reading for another poet friend. We placed a different emphasis on one or two words, and a number of people remarked on how distinct the two poems sounded. Same words, different interpretations.
I appreciate these recordings – your voice brings out nuances in the lines otherwise insufficiently attended in a simple reading. Thank you!
