Water Witching, We Hear
The rattle of stalks
along dirt roads,
whispery days
sifting through
parched
light,
you say
patience, my
friend, and again,
patience.

Limbs stretch to the heavens, joints creaking, waiting.
Thought I’d share words that came to mind. Maybe obvious. How do you know when words are too obvious?

Mek! Boy do I ever know that creaking feeling. I often miss the obvious on the first go or thereabouts, but by letting pieces sit and marinate for a while, they eventually give themselves away. Or that’s my hope, π¬

Bob! I take the exclamation mark to mean you’ve noted my absence and missed me soooo much π Ah, I was suggesting maybe the obvious wasn’t worth including. Yes, I know the creaks too *ouch*
