So painful. And self-examining, and honest, and unsparing in a kind of beautiful way. A most unique love poem.

I started a new chemo course, the second round of which ended with me hospitalized for four days. We meet with the oncologist on Tuesday, to discuss options. I remain optimistic!

I think I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: love is the most powerful thing. So tender and moving. (K)

Thanks, Lynne. The last two months have been a bit touch and go for us. We’re hoping for some answers tomorrow, or at least some propositions. And then, who knows?

Yes, I hope there are some positive propositions! Will be thinking of you 🙏

Moving poem, Bob. Interesting – that capacity to miss someone while they are still present. It seems a kind of sadness that satisfies, that deepens our emotional contours, that takes us out of the shallow end and makes life, however ephemeral, worth living.

Thanks, Gary. Capturing these feelings is difficult at best. All I can do is try, but damn it, I’m running out of time.

THAT is a killer. What a strong piece of work, sir. I’ve never observed a more desolate cookie.

Thanks, Rob. There have been some bleak days of late, but I’m on the mend, and maybe future cookies won’t be so desolate.
