Like the speaker in your poem, I feel those “inabilities” looking at my life too. I could suppose that we all bring some measure of love and beauty into being in between those inabilities. Glad you have some more time to add to the world’s store.
“What astounds is the continuing.” is my favourite line. I think because that is my issue with diagnoses and pain and troubles of all sorts, is that life walks by me and keeps going. I want to shout out, STOP! Look!
