Poem Up at Amsterdam Review

My poem, “Awake, I Listen to My Bones Argue” is live at the Amsterdam Review. Many thanks to editors Daniel and Priscilla for taking this sonnet, which was written before my cancer diagnosis.

  1. “The joke they conceal” gave me a supernatural shudder, knowing when this was written. Clairvoyance aside, it is such a good poem, and all too relatable as I’m attempting to prevent future (further) damage by strength training now (in a word, ouch). Congrats on the publication!

  2. Admire that enjambment of “refer/ring” in that one.

Oddly I was up until near 4 a.m. last night and finally closed out of catching up on followed blogs just before I would have read this one.
