Two Poems in THE LAKE

I’m delighted that two of my poems are appearing in The Lake, a poetry webzine based in the UK.

  1. Both are excellent poems, but today, “Mother’s Day” spoke to me more. “Mother’s Day” is so haunting; resonant in its emptiness, sparse and precise as a lancet. Wish I could like over there at The Lake, but I presume they will know the ‘traffic’ your poetry inspires! Congratulations and keep it up, Bob!

      • to me at least contemporary American poetry is more impressive in scope & style, perhaps it is this that appeals to the magazines & journals you submit to. though there are certainly English poets who write with skill (Symmons Roberts, Simon Armitage) many write with such a wooden tone you’d swear their poems were the littl’ns of 2 by 4s.
