Thanks, Tami. There’s always room for interpretation and personal inflection, and while I try to be consistent, I’ve found that different words will receive emphasis depending upon – well, I dunno. It just happens.
This poem is one of my favorite, and I loved hearing you read it! You ought to teach classes in how to read poems in a magical way and not sound like a clone of every other poet.

I really like hearing the poetry spoken. I’m never sure when I’m reading it if I’m emphasizing the right parts in my head.
