A Word Bathing in Moonlight
You understand solitude,
the function of water,
how stones breathe
and the unbearable weight
of love. Give up, the voice says.
Trust only yourself.
Wrapped in light, you
turn outward. Burst forth.

How good to hear your voice as it sounds. The voice in your poems is strong so I enjoyed listening to your reading. Love your work.

Thank you. I used to dislike my voice, but I’ve grown accustomed to it over the past 8 years or so.
