    I appreciate that you are able to have a civil conversation (albeit one-sided) with an oak tree. Mine consist of curses with their pollen, which has plagued me since I moved to Missouri. Give me a maple, any day. 😉

  2. Intriguing. I have one-sided conversations with the remaining stump of the enormous live oak that had to be taken down due to far-progressed oak wilt. So close to street it posed a real possibility of liability if a strong wind blew it toward a passing vehicle. Now it sprouts beautiful green leaves in defiance. Too busy growing leaves to respond to my various questions and appeasements I suppose. The tree guys thought probably about 500 years old when cut last year.
