I love it. I have looked for some spoken word events around where I am and it just isn’t here much. I love to hear how the poet meant for his/her words to flow. My favorite part of your work, always, is when you throw that one line in to shake everything back up. Everything was so tranquil and even and then you stepped in dog shit. š It always makes me smile and comes right when it should to stir the poem up. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you, Amy. You should consider participating in Crow’s open mic. And as for the dog shit (and other less pleasant things), it’s always present in life, popping up when least expected or most inconvenient. š
